Just because...

...I'm so cute!

Now I know this kind of thing should probably only be done for kids...but it's assignment time again and this is way more fun. Also she is the closest thing we have to kids for now and probably just as much trouble, just as expensive, just as vocal, just as cute and just as much fun!

She is the Molster and she rules the roost in the Catwood house...although just like me, at times she is not the most photogenic, so it's taken awhile just to get these few cuties.

My favourite being the first one when she is lying on Mark. It captures her attitude/ personality so perfectly - with the 'I own you' look and the 'Don't even think about it - I'm not moving!'. And the rest just capture her charm and her cuteness (although I'm probably just biased). :-)

The start of the 3rd decade...

...celebrations or commiserations?

With the ‘noughties’ now upon us (actually the ‘10’s’ - I’m not quite up there on the new century lingo) the 80’s are just a fond and distant memory...or are they ? You may be thinking which it is fond or distant? And perhaps we may have to agree on neither... Saturday night Woody’s in Kingston came alive with some delightful and colourful characters in the celebration of Vicki’s 30th birthday...and what is the start of many still to come this year. Dress up was required to the 'decade theme' of your choice, apart from the noughties (which was reserved for those who had lived through a fair few of the decades on offer). :-)

20’s, 60’s, 70s and 80s all made an appearance (apparently the 40’s – which I can’t even picture and the 50’s weren’t as popular). Vix, Mark and I decided appropriately (or maybe inappropriately) enough to dress in the decade in which we were all brought into this world –Vix and I in full blown 80’s, and Mark teetering on the edge between 70s/80s. The ‘beautiful’ site that it was, was funnily enough not nearly as scary as the fact that everything we wore was bought (and not from a dress up shop) just a few days before.

As the night progressed, and the 'decent o'clock' pubs closed -the die-hard party goers moved more locally (which is actually a bit of an oxymoron if you think about it) to a club called Po Na Na...a place, in all my 8 years in London, I had never quite made it inside before. Finally it all made sense, the deceivingly long queue normally outside is because it has to be the tiniest club in all of London, so they probably have to let 20 people out, for every 2 they let in. The dancing commenced, as well as the 'entertainment' - never in my life have I seen so many fights in one place and within such a short space of time...but we didn't let that ruin our fun, the bloodied idiots walked on by (if they weren’t escorted out) and we continued to cut shapes until the early hours of the morning, before calling it a night/morning, ironically enough at another significant 3(am).

Today, coincidently enough, the day I decided to get my blog up to date....is actually the BIG DAY....so HAPPY BIRTHDAY VIX! Wish we could be with you and Sho in Egypt!
