Last Friday night, Nic, Ryan and Shona came round for dinner...the weather managed to hold for us to have a braai! But after the food was cooked a trickle of rain decided to emerge...it couldn't have been better timing.
Stuck inside...Ryan was itching for a rematch from the last poker match almost a year before...so the poker chips made an appearance! To make it official, it was a £5 buy in...Shona who claimed she hadn’t played before wasn’t too keen on throwing £5 out the window. But it didn’t take long to 'win' her over (excuse the pun).
The game progressed as it does, Nic was out first, followed shortly after by me, leaving Shona the ‘so-called amateur’ to battle it out with the boys! After numerous requests from Shona to cash out, time (aka the early hours of the morning) became the deciding factor to end the game, with Shona (the Hustler) coming out on tops and basically tripling her money!
